Aug 17 is Black Cat Appreciation Day. It is a day set aside to think about black cats and appreciate how beautiful they are.

For centuries black cats have had a lot of negative publicity. They got associated with evil and bad luck.
The only one that was bad luck for was the cats. We recognize now that black cats are simply cats with black fur. Nothing more.
It makes them very beautiful, but also less likely to be adopted. It is time we changed out thinking and recognized the beauty of black cats.

Not to confuse things, but National Black Cat Day is Oct 27. This is black cat appreciation day. Black cats need two days of recognition to make up for all the negative things they have endured over the years.

My daughters last adopted cat was a tuxedo mostly black I love black cats doesn't bother me the colour.

Black cats are sharp looking. They always seem to be sleek and shiny. 
I love the tuxedo cats. Each one is just a little different. 
I think I love all cats, each for its own reason.
