Zimbabwe moves 2500 animals because of climate change
#1
The effects of climate change are causing severe drought in some areas of Zimbabwe. A great many animals are in danger because of this. The country is undertaking a movement of animals on a large scale. They are moving 400 elephants. 2000 impalas, 70 giraffs, 50 buffalos, 50 wildebeest, 50 zebras, 50 elands and a pack of 10 wild dogs.  They will be moved from the drought ravaged south to conservation areas in the north.

This is a huge movement of animals. Hopefully it will be successful and the animals will be saved.
Sixty years ago the country moved 5000 animals that were threatened by rising flood waters from a hydroelectric dam.
I remember reading about it when it happened. The story was called "Time is short and the water is rising"
If they were writing a story now it would be "Time is short and there is no water" or :Time is short and climate change is winning".

If we ever doubted climate change we just have to look around us. There are climate emergencies everywhere.
