Mass whale stranding in Tasmania
#1
On Wednesday 230 Pilot Whales became stranded on Ocean Beach, Tasmania. Sadly, in spite of rescue operations almost 200 whales have died. It is a very exposed beach, and the rescue operation was very difficult.

This has been the second stranding this week.

We have no idea why these mass stranding events keep happening.
Sometimes the whales can be rescued. Sometimes it is too late.
Whatever is causing this, it can't be a good sign for our oceans.
We need to do some serious ocean care. Just cleaning up the plastic would help.
Even if our plastic pollution is not part of the whale stranding problem, we still need to clean it up.
