Driver takes a wrong exit and rescues a terrified kitten from the from the highway

The founder of Rescue For Winston was driving home from work in Kuwait and took a wrong exit. That put her on a stretch of road where a terrified kitten was wandering in the traffic. 
When she tried to rescue him, he disappeared into her car. She couldn't find him, so she drove home slowly and carefully.
The kitten had been clinging to her car. It took a while to rescue him. He was totally terrified.
Now he is a happy little fellow, with the name of Hitch, living in Washington DC area awaiting a forever home.

Everything happens for a reason. Without a wrong turn on a familiar highway, little Hitch would not have been rescued.

They are also involved in Trap Neuter Release. In time TNR does reduce the number of street cats. 
Kittens that aren't born, don't need rescuing. Util then, kittens like Hitch still need us.
