Florida zoos and aquariums prepare for Hurricane Iam
#1
With Hurricane Ian bearing down on Florida, zoos and aquariums have closed and are preparing for the storm. They are securing the property. and any lose items.
More importantly the animals are being secured is safe quarters with enough food and water to ride out the storm.

Many of the zoos have been preparing for this for many years. In 1992, Zoo Miami's Flamingos rode out the storm in a public bathroom.
They have built secure quarters and have plans in place to care for the animals safely.

I hope all the animals come through this uninjured and I hope the humans in the path of the storm are able to survive unhurt.
