David Suzuki retires from The Nature of Things

The Nature of Things is a Canadian science show. It deals with a lot of environmental issues.

For the last 44 years it has been hosted by David Suzuki. At 86 years old he is stepping down from the show to focus more on environmentalism.
Forty-four years is a long time, and I can't imagine not having new episodes with Suzuki narrating them.

For those of you who are not familiar with him, he also founded the David Suzuki Foundation.

I know he will still be an active presence in the environmental movement, it is just hard to think of him retiring from anything.
I need time to get used to the idea.
