Service dog has spent 700 days on cruise ships
#1
Joska, the Black Lab is the service dog to Cornelia, who is blind and who loves to travel on cruise ships. Joska has logged 700 days at sea and the cruise ship line has noticed.
Holland America Line is designating Joska as an honorary 5 Star Mariner, its highest membership level and they will be presenting her with a Platinum Medalian.

Pets are not allowed on cruise ships, but service dogs are accommodated very well.

It is good to know that service dogs are not only allowed on cruise ships, but they are also treated very well. It would be enough that they make Joska welcome.
Recognizing her as a 5 Star Mariner and giving her a Platinum Medalian is going beyond good service. It is great service, and it is caring service.
We are forever hearing about service dogs being refused admission to ordinary places like stores. It is nice to hear about a service dog being welcomed and honored for her hours at sea.
