What happens when a cat hoarder dies?
#1
What happens when a cat hoarder dies? The Canadian Animal Task Force can answer that question.
A relative of the hoarder contacted them. They had no idea how many cats their relative was looking after.
When the CSTF agreed to take them, they had no idea either. They were expecting 40-50 cats.
What arrived was 90 cats. Many of them will need medical care. All of them will need to be neutered.
They are asking for donations to help with the animals.
The Calgary Humane Society is looking for foster families to help look after animals over the busy Christmas season.

This is a tough year for animal shelters and animal rescue groups. A lot of animals are being surrendered.
Now they have all the animals from a cat hoarder. The timing seems bad, but by next year there might have been even more cats.
The sooner they are all neutered the better.
