North Korean Dogs given to South Korea end up in zoos
#1
North Korea gifted South Korea with two Pungsan Hunting Dogs. The two dogs lived with the them president of South Korea. Their puppies have ended up in South Korean zoos. When he left office he took the dogs home. After a dispute over who pays for their care, the dogs are now being cared for at a zoo.

Yet another reason why animals should not be given as gifts. They are not really being treated as pets. They are more artifacts and would have gone to a museum, except for the fact that they are alive. I am sure they will be looked after, but is that how dogs that are pets should be treated.
If the president had them for years as pets how could he give them up like that?

Animals are not objects to be given as gifts.
