43 Green Sea Turtles rescued from poachers
#1
A routine navy operation in Bali, Indonesia encountered a group of poachers. The poachers fled out to sea, but they left behind 43 live Green Sea Turtles.
The navy rescued the turtles and they will be released back to the wild.

The timing was really fortunate for the turtles. I am not sure what the poachers were planning to do with the turtles. They would likely have been sold and probably eaten. It wouldn't have ended well. It is too bad they didn't catch the poachers, but they did get their boats.

Out there, someone is willing to pay for the turtles. They are the people we need to stop. If no one would buy them, poachers would have no reason to catch them.
