The Mexican drug cartels are brutal. They did not hesitate to cut off a dog's paws as practice for torturing people.
Milagros Caninos, a special needs rescue was called about the dog 14 years ago. They helped him to survive and even provided prosthetic feet for him.
He is now in a competition to be America's favourite pet. He is already first in the dog category.
The shelter that rescued him was founded after the organizers own dog died. Since then they have taken in many damaged animals and have done their best to fix them and give them happy lives.

It is amazing how happy the dog is even after the cruelty he experienced. Love can heal anything and dogs never seen to lose hope or love.
