Homeless woman's Pit bull ordered to be euthanized
#1
Because she is homeless, Kujo's owner can't really contain him. She has no home and no back yard. Kujo is a big strong dog and he has shown aggression and has bitten people at the animal shelter. A judge has ordered him to be put down at the end of February if there is no appeal.

Kujo has been designated as dangerous. That is the grounds under which euthanasia has been ordered.
Is Kujo dangerous? He has reacted in a highly stressful situation. Being locked in a kennel away from his owner is upsetting.
Being in a homeless situation is also stressful for the dog.

Maybe the real problem is the fact that his owner is homeless. Maybe that is what needs to be taken care of before the dog is judged in any way.
Kujo might have been a very different dog when he had a stable home.

Most likely Kujo will be put down, but this isn't his fault. It is the fault of a society that lets people end up homeless and doesn't help them.
No dog could be expected to be okay with that.
