Six species recover because of restored ecosystems.
#1
Habitat restoration has returned six species from the brink of extinction. It is a mixture of species. The most notable is the mountain gorilla. Numbers were low and now conservation efforts are bringing them back. The Bittern in the UK has benefitted from a restoration of wetlands.
A snake called the Antiguan Racer has gone from 50 individuals to 1100 because of cleaning up the ecosystem and removing invasive predators.
There are others and if we keep working to restore ecosystems there could be many more.

It is so clear that the key to species survival is habitat restoration. Bringing back one species by restoring its habitat, is going to have a beneficial effect on the other species that live in that habitat. If we can focus on restoration we can undo a lot of the damage we have done. It is worth the effort.
