Procyon wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center
#1
The Procyon Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center is an active place. In 2009 it was just a local vet getting calls about wildlife. She got a wildlife license and started housing animals in a room in her basement. Things have grown and changed since then. Teams of volunteers trapped mangy foxes and got them medical help. In all 26 foxes were returned to the wild, healthy and strong. Now they have a portable X-ray machine which will let them X-ray animals as soon as they come in.

It is amazing what will grow from one person helping a few animals. Now there is a thriving wildlife center.
There certainly is a need for people to help wildlife and they are willing to help any animals in need.
They always need supplies and volunteers, but the local community is responding. Who knows what they will end up doing.
