Chickens in sweaters

Smile
I always loved this idea. I think it is about three years old, but the idea has continued. It was part of rescuing hens from battery cages, but it applies to any hen that gets cold.

The pictures are too good.

Some of the hens look quite stylish. They also look like they are happy in their little outfits. I wonder who thought of it.Idea

It would be fun to have a few hens. There is something very homey about a few chickens around a place.63

After we talked about it I went looking for the story. I love the hens in sweaters. It is so funny and yet it is such a good solution to hens that are short of feathers. Also they look like they are happy in their sweaters. They certainly look stylish and quite lovely.Smiley4

This is so lovely for those poor chickens who don't have feathers! I bet they are cosy in their knitted sweaters! What a good idea, and there is so much love in that.

Isn't it amazing. It started as an act of love for the battery(caged) hens that were been "liberated". Most of them had few feathers. I think they are still making sweaters for any hens that need them.
Sometimes I am proud of what we as humans do for animals. I know we mess up a lot, but be do try to fix it.Heart

How lovely. The chickens seem happy - and so do the knitters.

That's the magic of kindness. It spreads happiness, to both the giver and the receiver, and very often inspires other kindnesses in its wake.

I just love this story. As you say kindness is magic. It transforms the world. I never hear about the chickens in sweaters without feeling warm inside.Heart
