Bird Flu near Toronto
#1
Bird flu was detected on a poultry farm in southern Ontario. Now they are starting to find dead wild birds. A number of dead Canada Geese were found just north of Toronto. They are being tested. It looks like we have a bird flu outbreak.

If it really is bird flu in the wild bird population, it is going to be bad. The migratory birds will be passing through this area soon. They could carry the virus to the far northern areas. All we can do is be very careful and hope this doesn't spread.

I admit, I am afraid for our birds. I have read about the devastation in other places. I feel sick at the thought it could happen here.
