Sad horse story

Sad
Sadly people do not always care for horses properly. I am glad these horses were rescued, but for one it was not in time.Smiley19

It looks like there will be a happy ending for them. With the right care they are improving.

It's great to see that their situation is so much better now.

A little good food and care and they are already looking better. Sad for the one that was too far gone. Now that their story is out there people are coming forward who can give them good homes. I am sure they will be loved and cherished in their new homes.Heart

These kind of stories are both heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time.

It seems that human care is a mixture. There are many who care deeply and will do all they can to help. There are a number of others who behave very badly when it comes to compassion and caring.
Yes, a sad story but also a happy one....

That is people for you. A group of people will pull off a spectacular rescue or make great efforts for an animal that is in trouble because of human neglect. I guess we want to make up for the failures of the original owners.

When I rescue I wish the "failure" owners could see how much the rescue pet is cherished now.

This is a horse story from 2008.

It think the video part is no longer available. It took many volunteers hours of work to dig the horses out. They were fine in the end and the owner did not get them back. He left them there to die. Most of the snow was removed by hand using shovels. That is dedication on the part of the volunteers.

It seems there is a book and a web site.

Dare we hope for a movie. I would go to see it.
