Protecting the Right Whales

There has been a Right Whale sighting off of Prince Edward Island. The lobster fishing has been shut down for 15 days as a precaution. If there are more sightings then the area could be closed to lobster fishing until November.

This may be an economic strain for the fishermen, but it is life and death for the Right Whales. Too many whales have died from entanglement in fishing gear.
It is a slow miserable death. Shutting down the lobster fishing is the least we can do since the whales are nearly extinct because of human activity in the first place.
