Rare sea turtle washes up on Prince Edward Island
#1
A long dead Leather Back Sea Turtle has washed up on Prince Edward Island. He was tangled in fishing gear and that was probably the cause of his death.
The turtles come to feed in Canadian waters before returning home to the beaches where they lay eggs.
Sadly this turtle never made it home.

Once again fishing gear has killed a marine animal. Who knows how many have died that we do not hear about. The oceans are large. Many dead animals probably don't wash ashore.
We need to clean up the oceans. They are full of lost fishing gear and many other forms of garbage. If we care about marine life then we need to care about the oceans that are their home.
