Family finds their lost dog at an adoption event
#1
The family's pet dog went missing in January. They left Mocha with a friend while they were on vacation. They returned to the news that their dog was gone.
After months without their dog, they attended an adoption event hoping to find a dog. Instead they found their dog!
Mocha knew them right away. They had pictures to prove it was their dog. They went home with their own dog.

What were the odds of finding your own dog at an event where there were many people and dogs. Anyone else could have adopted the dog and they would never have seen him again. They could have just missed him in the crowd. Everyone ended up happy.

This does make a good case for microchipping. If Mocha had been microchipped they would have found him months ago.

Yes, indeed, Catherine! This point cannot be made too often. Microchipping is compulsory where we live - and rightly so.

Think of all the unhappy hours that the people and the dog had until they were reunited.
I wish microchipping was compulsory here. The shelters would send more pets home and have time and resources for the real strays.
