Conservation group buys land
#1
The Nature Conservancy of Canada has just made another land purchase in Newfoundland.
This brings their nature preserve to 410 hectares. This allows them to protect a number of at risk species.
Since 1962 the Nature Conservancy has been protecting land in Canada. The now protect 15 million hectares across the country.
Their goal is to one day protect 30% of the land.

This is great news. A lot of species depend on the work of conservation groups like this.

I hope they reach their goal of 30% of the land being protected.
That would be awesome.
