Maritime surveillance in the north Pacific discovers thousands of shark fins
#1
Canadian Fisheries officers doing an annual enforcement mission have discovered over 3000 shark fins. Some were from endangered species. All were illegal.

We know shark finning still takes place, horrible as it is. It is just shocking to think that many sharks were so cruelly killed.
I hope they keep up the searches. Maybe an annual enforcement mission is not enough. They need to increase their patrols.
There also need to be bans on selling the fins and bans on serving the fins.
If they can't be sold, it wouldn't be worth collecting the fins. There need to be some serious fines for possessing shark fins.
It is going to take a lot to end shark finning.
