Pig owner can walk her pet pig like a dog, if she follows the rules
#1
A woman in Manchester has a pet pig. A nearby friend has his sibling. The pigs can be walked like dogs, but they must follow certain rules. They also need a permit, which they must carry.  She describes him as being like a very fat Labrador.
Everyone love seeing him and wants to take pictures with him.

Pet pigs are not that common and some places do not allow them. I guess having a permit to walk him is not that big a problem.
It proves that it is legal for her to have him as a pet.

Pigs are highly intelligent, so I am not surprised that he makes a good companion animal. As for the rules, they are similar to when we had sheep years ago: ear tags, declaration of any movements, etc. However, I must say that life is easier with alpacas, as apart from microchipping there are no other special rules, as they are classed as domestic animals (even if they live outdoors).

I did not know that Alpacas were designated as domestic animals in your area. That does make it easier for you.
In Canada and the USA Alpacas are classified as livestock.

Certainly pigs are considered livestock and are not permitted in Toronto.
They are such intelligent creatures. When people have them as pets everyone loves them.
We can't even have chickens.
