Birds are so expressive. Many can talk, but they don't need to. They can say it all with their eyes.

It snowed last night and I slept late. I had not yet put any bird seed out in the sheltered spot where the birds like to have a little community snack time.
I looked out the window and a sparrow was on my window ledge looking in. When he caught my eye, he gave me a look and then flew off.
I quickly put seed out. Seconds later a cloud of birds descended in my yard and the bird party began.
I wonder how long the bird was on the window ledge before he caught my attention.
