The first baby Right Whale of the year has been found dead from a collision with a ship. It is the third Right Whale death of the year.
The species is already in trouble and it can't stand loses like this. There are less than 350 of the whales left.

We need to do more to protect them. Too many Right Whales are killed by ship strikes. Reducing ship speeds would help. Maybe moving shipping routes would help. The whales have to go where they need to eat. We could move. Too many whales die from entanglement in fishing gear. This is something we need to change. We need to clean up the oceans and stop discarding things that can harm whales and other wildlife. The oceans don't belong to us. We share them.
