Grey Whale spotted in the Atlantic Ocean for the first time in 300 years
#1
The scientist who spotted the whale had trouble believing it, but their are pictures to prove it. There is a Grey Whale in the North Atlantic Ocean off of Nantucket. They have been gone from the area for 300 years. This one may have come through the north west passage. It doesn't mean they are coming back, but who knows.

With climate change and all that brings we don't really know what animals are going to do. We see animals expanding their territories further north as things get warmer. If whales can migrate through the Arctic Ocean from the Pacific to the Atlantic maybe they will do it. We just have to watch and see.

Grey whales are impressive. I saw a group of migrating grey whales off of Vancouver Island in 1974. I was camping on the beach and I woke up to see the inlet filled with whales. It was a magnificent sight and I am still in awe when I think of it.
