Iceland has cut back on whaling in recent years and some of its commercial whalers did not even apply for licenses. There is little market for the whale meat.
There seems to be no point to continuing the killing of whales in Icelandic waters.
So will Iceland ban waling permanently?

It is beginning to look like whaling is finally over in Iceland.
If they can go the whole 2024 season with out killing any whales then I think we can call it a victory.
Now we just need Japan to stop killing whales.
