Selfie stupidity

Someone posted a video of people pulling bear cubs from bushes so they could take selfies with them. 
We have no idea what happened to the cubs. Mom would eventually have come back.

We can only hope the cubs were unharmed. The people must have been gone when mama bear returned. I couldn't find any reports of a bear attacking people. The people didn't deserve to be that lucky, but the bear would have suffered consequences if she had defended her cubs.

They were total idiots to touch bear cubs like that. The mother wouldn't be too far away and she would defend them fiercely. And so she should.
The world doesn't need more stupid selfies.

Just when you think human stupidity couldn't be any worse you read about something like that.

I can't understand this obsession with selfies. They could have taken some amazing pictures of the cubs on their own. Then they needed to leave the area quickly.
