Red Panda at Toronto Zoo has died.

The Red Panda, Sakura, came to Toronto from Vancouver. She is older and she was to retire here. She surprisingly gave birth to twin cubs.
Her health was not good so the staff have been feeding the cubs. Red Panda cubs are fragile and only one has survived. She is doing very well.
Sakura's health has continued to fail and she died this week. Full care of her cub is being handled by zoo staff. It is hoped that she will make it.

It is sad that Sakura is gone, but she was older. I know they will want to determine how she died. It is important to know.
The important thing now is her healthy happy cub who has been named Biggie. She is cute and loveable and it would be wonderful to see her grow up.
I know everything possible is being done for her. Now we just hope.
