They always assume when animals do something a certain way, it has a survival reason.
It turns out, after studying them, the Baboons travel the way they do for social reasons.
They like to walk with their friends.

I am sure we need to study this more. We need to observe the animals and not interpret their behavior by what we think is the answer.
We need to step back and actually look at them. We can apply this approach to a lot of animal behavior studies.
We might change a number of our ideas. That is the nature of science. It changes its ideas as it learns new things.
