A guinea pig hoarder was about to be evicted unless she got rid of her 400 guinea pigs. Yes, 400!
Los Angeles Animal services was called in. They contacted Southern California Guinea Pig rescue.

The animals were very neglected, living in filth with an inadequate diet.

This is so sad. Guinea pigs are such vulnerable animals. They are totally dependent on us for their care. If they are under fed or poorly fed, there is nothing they can do about it. I hope they can at least find foster homes for them all. Eventually they will all need to be adopted, but that will take time.
No doubt some females are pregnant, so there will be more soon.
I wish I lived closer. I could at least take some piggies.
