Pet Safety for the Holidays
#1
With the holiday season upon us it is good to think about pet safety. I found a good article that mentions some of the usual dangers.

Every year some animals get hurt by the tree or the ornaments or they eat foods that are not good for them. I hope all our pets are safe and happy and I am sure a few moments reflection on the subject will help to keep them that way.

Ornaments need to be kept out of reach, too. In addition to being a choking and intestinal blockage hazard, shards from broken ornaments may injure paws, mouths, or other parts of your pet's body.

You are right about the dangers. With Easter and Easter eggs in the near future, we need to remember that dogs cannot eat chocolate. It is quite toxic to them. So, if you plan an easter egg hunt, be careful that your dog does not get in on the hunt.

Better safe than sorry.
