Science admits animals have Consciousness!
#1
It seems obvious to me, and probably to many others here...

But a large group of scientists -including Stephen Hawking, signed the Francis Crick Memorial Conference declaration, stating that all animals have "Consciousness" similar to ours.
That includes all mammals, birds, and even the Octopus.

I stumbled on this interesting article tonight, as a result of someone 'following' me on Twitter, whom I did not know.

I'm glad I read it. It is a lovely article, which also implies that sometimes animals can even be ahead of us in spiritual/emotional ways:

I hadn't seen the page you mention, Tobi, nor had I heard of the declaration. With a bit of research this evening, I have found the text of the actual declaration:

I will be bookmarking this, and when I get around to revising some of website pages I will cite this declaration, signed by prominent scientists. Good "stumble", Tobi!

Thank you for finding the original declaration, LPC! There is so much more information on this, and details of the actual conference, which were not on the psychic lady's site.

This is really important, especially since Stephan Hawking has signed it.

I gave it a quick read, but I want to go over it more carefully. There are a lot of implications and potential consequences to scientists accepting animal consciousness.

We have know about animal consciousness for years, now the idea is going main stream. It is too much to take in late at night.
