'Roadkill' Fox makes miraculous recovery - Tobi - 10-02-2015 A passerby found a nearly-dead fox by the side of a busy highway in Ontario. The female fox had been hit by a car and was hardly moving or breathing. Thanks to Jennifer, who found her, and the local wildlife rescue group 'Woodlands Wildlife Sanctuary', she gradually recovered -and made a new friend! The story: http://www.care2.com/causes/nearly-dead-fox-makes-miraculous-recovery-and-new-friend-in-rehab.html And the video.... https://youtu.be/oMykQDJ90kI (I have put this story in 'Animal Charities and Rescues' because it does highlight the work of WWS.) RE: 'Roadkill' Fox makes miraculous recovery - Catherine - 10-02-2015 What a wonderful end to what could have been a tragedy. Tammy really did look dead so I must have taken a lot of hope to believe she could be saved. How sweet that Tammy and Todd have found each other in a wildlife rescue centre. There is always hope. I had never heard of the Woodland Wildlife Sanctuary. It is a well kept secret in Ontario. It makes me wonder how many other places are out there to help animals in trouble. RE: 'Roadkill' Fox makes miraculous recovery - Ruth - 10-03-2015 That's a very nice story. I don't know much about foxes but am so glad this one lived. RE: 'Roadkill' Fox makes miraculous recovery - Catherine - 10-03-2015 She not only lived, but she seems to have found a partner. I love a happy ending. |
