RE: Rescuing a hunting cat's (live) brunch... - Catherine - 05-23-2014 It is always nice when there is a happy ending. I figure even if the animal you rescued dies in the end, it can at least die in peace and safety. I think the stress of being attacked by a cat can sometimes be enough to cause death. I do not know why cats do things like play with their prey. I can't think of any other animal who would do that when they need to eat. Maybe it is a product of domestication. Remember humans do sport hunting. |
