This is so moving. I can hardly believe they were able to get that amount of tar off him, and that he was okay in the end, showing no ill-effects! He is a lovely dog too, with a good temperament.
I'm surprised he didn't suffer burns.

The tar must have been hot enough to be liquid, but not hot enough to burn. I don't know how they recognized that he was alive. All he could do was move his eyes.
It is the most amazing rescue I have ever seen. It seems that rescue is always possible. I love the fact that he is wagging his tail and looking happy as soon as he can do it. I hope that dog finds a really special home.

I couldn't believe it when I saw the video. I thought he was dead.
Maybe cats are not the only ones with nine lives.
