I hope the security forces are running at full strength in many cities now in Europe. That includes London. I am sure they are. British Intelligence are not stupid!
These fanatical nutcases may think they rule the roost with their random bloodshed and crazy suicides, but they don't. I pray that everywhere, those who have spiritual conscience will return to True Islam, not to the words and the psychosis of the fanatics and the unbalanced.

Sadly a Mosque was vandalized in a small city north of Toronto. That is not the answer. The people in Peterborough had nothing to do with the terrorism in Paris. The response has been an outpouring of community support and donations to repair the damage.
We need calmness and common sense to prevail. Attacking in anger just makes us like the terrorists. If we have to deal with ISIS because they are a danger to world peace, then we will deal with them. We won't deal with them by burning random unrelated buildings in cities ISIS has never heard of.
I am sure that all of Europe is on high security alert. The common civilian can help by being aware of things and calmly reporting anything suspicious.
One thought: These terrorists tend to die in these attacks so eventually they defeat themselves by killing themselves. There isn't an unlimited supply of radical terrorists.

I think there is a somewhat unlimited supply of radical terrorists because more are born every day. Eleven year olds are terrorists in Africa. There are new ones becoming terrorists every day as they become teens are are very influenced by the radicals.
Not all terrorists are Muslim not all Muslims are terrorists.

I think we need to do things to make sure no eleven year old ever wants to join a terrorist group. Good people and good actions can be just as strong an influence as the bad people.
Sadly terrorists can come from anywhere and support any cause. These are not the first terrorists the world has dealt with and probably they won't be the last.
If we provide hope and a future then young people will not be drawn towards radicalization. If they have a firm foundation to base their lives on they will not be tempted by an uncertain future. It is up to us who are adults now to be there for the younger generation. They need us now more than ever.

I think we overplay the danger. Most people who get worked up about causes do not act. It is a minority that ever actually do anything. Of that minority, it is very few who are trained and capable of accomplishing anything.
It is wise to be vigilant, but it is not good to be anxious. Fear distorts our thinking. Most of us lead lives that just don't put us in danger. Even when there are radical groups out there acting out. They can only target a very small number of places.
If you follow the news they took care of the people who were behind last Friday's attacks. If the intelligence community would be more open with each other they might do better at preventing things from happening.
What we can do is teach the children to be tolerant. In the end it is tolerance and acceptance of each other that will stop hatred.

That's true. I'm trying to keep a level head. I'm afraid it haunts me sometimes, though, in my dreams. The law enforcement specialists are out in NYC, bomb detecting dogs, people who follow things on cell phones, and I forgot the rest of it. All we can do is to be prepared or we are in big trouble.
